Ultimately, the intertwined struggles for psychological healing and geopolitical autonomy affirm the capacity of peoples and nations of African descent to transcend historical trauma and forge a more just and inclusive global future.
This dynamic and complex scenario calls for concerted efforts combining the healing of past wounds, resistance to reactionary policies and the evolution of international relations to achieve dignity, equity and sustainable progress for all peoples affected by the unhealthy legacy of slavery. Ultimately, as long as we inherit the wounds of slavery, freedom will remain an intergenerational struggle- a word that rises up against injustice, a dream that refuses to be extinguished.”
