Secondly , speaking precisely of the process of access to wealth , in the African-American community it is rather necessary to do in the entertainment industry to hope to become rich , a sector which the statistics prove it is largely uncertain , with ratios which go in the order of 10 per million ; because out of a million young African-Americans who want to succeed in sport or music , only 10 will be able to reach the top and make a living from their profession . Solely this plan of career is dangerous for the development of a community . And worse once arrived at the top the African-American bourgeoisie instead of investing in its children by sending them to Ivy schools so that they can acquire knowledge that will place them in the class which is reputed to have the levers on the march of a country , the Afro- American bourgeoisie from the sport and entertainment , has forgotten that despite their fortune , it is the class of those who lead , or who control technology and who often have graduated from prestigious universities in the United States , that their future is decided . How many sons of great musicians or great African-American sportsmen have come out of Harvard , and then entered politics to influence the laws for their benefit ?
How many came out of cutting-edge technology schools like the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to later lead or create companies like Google or Apple that greatly influence the world today ? The simple answer is none , if so , very few . This implies that even in their own families ’ members of the black upper class are unable to have a vision for the future of their own children , often outside the path they have built themselves . And with this in mind , how can they help pull the Afro-American community up ? In Africa the problem remains the same , even if the local specificity means that the richest in Africa are often industrialists who benefit from very close relations with those who run African countries , and this proximity to African governments tends to exempt them from taxes , and therefore de facto they contribute less to the construction of fairer Nations , in the distribution of available wealth . The opacity of the origin of their fortune does not help matters . Illicit enrichment linked to the looting of natural resources or the embezzlement of public funds is a ubiquitous practice that contributes to the impoverishment of populations and underdevelopment in the tropics .
