A way of saying : “ the world belongs to us because all that is important the economic and banking system , sport , the medias , technology , and culture are ours . They are part of the world that belongs to us and we can thus banish whomever we want arbitrarily ”. However , it was not always the case , because during the 19th century , the emergence and codification of modern sports in Victorian England were driven by the desire to channel and control the forms of violence within British society .
