My interaction also depends on a lot of di erent things , my interaction would be di erent . if it ’ s a festival where there are many bands , or if it ’ s indoors or if the audience knows my music , I get to connect with them di erently all the time .
Have you experienced anything unexpected during your tour so far ?
I had a marriage proposal on stage 🙂 It was beautiful ? What advice would you give to a young person who is thinking about becoming a musician one day ?
Be sure you love the art more than you love your ego and start working yesterday . Always be humble , speak less and listen more . Please don ’ t be vain and proud , it slows your evolution .
What are your plans & hopes for the future with regard to your music ?
To continue to live , get and give energy from my art . And be an independent artist . And be serene ?
Between her own albums , Ms . Tavares collaborated widely , with names in Portuguese and Lusophone music ; recording with the Angolan electronic group Buraka Som Sistema , the Portuguese rapper and singer Slow J , Ala dos Namorados , Dany Silva , Paulo Flores , Buraka Som Sistema , Carlão and many others . Her last release , after 5 years of silence in September , was “ Kurtidu ,” a single that used electric guitars and programmed beats , was produced by Sony Music . Her voice stayed friendly and airborne on every track she sang , sailing above borders .
Portuguese singer / songwriter Sara Tavares , diagnosed with a brain tumor , since 2009 , died on the evening of Sunday November 19th 2023 at the age of 45 at the Hospital da Luz in Lisbon .
