When some in the West have interpreted the Chinese leader ' s annoyance with the continuity of the war in Ukraine as being a dissatisfaction with the setbacks that Putin and his army would su er in Ukraine , or even the supposed deflating of the Chinese authorities in the face of to the American provocation in Taiwan , in fact many missed the point . Beijing knows that its business does not like war , like its Western challengers and in particular the United States which is in the process of rebuilding its economic health with the war in Ukraine .
