Amobé Mévégué from an invisible minority he was majoritarily visible
Born in Yaoundé , Cameroon on October 1 , 1968 , Amobé Mévégué arrived in France at the age of 5 . He grew up between Lyon , Reims and Paris . Very early on , attracted by the audiovisual , he enrolled after his high school diploma ( series B economics ), at the free conservatory of French cinema in Paris , where his short film " Lola Darling " won the First Prize in directing . He said his dream was not to be in front of the camera but behind it as a director . Arrived in the 80s in Paris as the socialist president , François Mitterrand was entering the Elysee Palace , he fulfilled his campaign promise , to help the creation of African and Caribbean medias , to give Africans and Caribbeans a better visibility .

At 17 , 18 he will have the chance to experience the explosion of careers of some great figures of the African and Caribbean culture . As radio host , he will see stars such as Angélique Kidjo and Kassav emerge . He will experience the beginnings of Hip Hop in a universe of the most interesting cultural encounters within Tabala Fm , the first Afro radio station in the Western world to broadcast in the colors of diversity . He will meet in this radio all the great tenors of African and Caribbean music in France . From Manu Dibango , or Myriam Makeba , to Yossou Ndour via Salif Keita and others Jocelyne Béroard or Jacob Desvarieux . It is from Tabala Fm that he will have his breakthrough .
