The singer Tété ( read tay tay ) has just released his 7th album, "Fauthentique". Guest of France 3 television channel he said "The whole story of the album began with the desire to write the story of a forger, because I found that the forger of before, the one who falsified paintings, stamps ... he had something poetic, romantic, and now the counterfeiters are darker, more disturbing, "says the singer.

In this seventh effort, Tété invents the concept of "Fauthentique" and explores all its aspects. A contraction of the French word faux that means fake, and authentic. Like his character "King Simili", he oscillates, therefore, between false pretenses and truths of everyday life. "Before, the facts made the opinions, now we have the impression of the opposite. ” Peoples build custom made facts to influence the false reality of their desire”. The question posed by the album is: “does this portrayal still belong to us?

“ says Tété.

The album is fed by the news, and do not tend to judge people behavior. There is distance, humor and tenderness in the singer's writing. Like the first title, "King Simili".

Born in Dakar, Senegal, on July 25, 1975. From a mother from Martinique and a Senegalese father, it was in 2001 that Tété landed on the French music scene with the album Air de rien, a follow up of Preambule released the year before. The public then discovered a singer with simple vocals and rhythm that were very influenced by folk, blues and pop. The recipe worked and the album ranked at the top 50 of the best albums in France.
