Returning to the principle of duality, everyone will feel called to join the cause that matches his level of consciousness. Hence my work of raising the levels of consciousness because one creates from the level of consciousness that is his or hers. The diaspora would be more useful if everyone did the work of elevating their inner greatness, quitting baseness, because the actions of the diaspora only reflect their inner state of mind, and we must start from within if we want to change the outside, the world, and Cameroon. Because, only when we have a large majority of a sane diaspora will we see fit resolutions of crises, coming from the diaspora. And we are unfortunately not there yet. But that will come!
The music without doubt is a communication tool because it touches the masses. With this tool how do you hope to positively influence peoples both Bantu and foreign, because it seems that while many in Africa lose their mark, at the same time in the West and elsewhere some have pejorative clichés that do not always do justice to the African continent?
I used to define myself as a "motivational singer," since I use the song to motivate peoples to think and be different and to reconstruct what has been destroyed or curved. "A SANGO'A MBOA" is part of an upcoming album that tells the story of the Bantu people; its hopes, its mistakes, and its glory, A SANGO'A MBOA honors a Bantu hero in the person of Duala Manga Bell.
In Africa we lose our bearings because we are inundated until the drowning by the standards of other peoples who, it must be said, have very perverse and destructive standards. From our moral codes of society to school education, everything has been poisoned with the venom of Westerners, who, it seems, have given themselves the mission of perverting the world! However, the Bantu people who, in spite of everything, are, in my opinion, the true chosen people, have the divine mission to show other peoples the path of grandeur, beauty and spirituality. But the leading Bantu people, has been dragged and conquered
by a foolish people, and now they are copying their unhealthy way of living and thinking, which only brings distress to minds. The Bantu people must re-educate themselves in the Bantu way, to be and to do, in order to regain their innate leadership position because they are the guardians of the earthly temple!
As for pejorative clichés, it is not a coincidence but a well-formulated intention to tarnish the image of the black man and to create hatred against him. And without delaying maneuvers, it still comes from the Western people who created economic and political systems that have been hurting Black peoples for centuries! I do not care about these apprehensions! Because, I do not feel called to work to help the white peoples to change their ideas on us. On the other hand, I dedicate myself to work so that black peoples change their opinion about themselves, to dismantle lies, well woven to their beautiful Reality. That's what interests me and keeps me busy!
The single A Sango a Mboa follows your Album “A Coeur Ouvert”, (Open Heart) released in 2016, in which the song I do not Believe your lies has performed rather well on different platforms. As an independent artist, how do you manage to find solutions for the production of your music?
So far, I have produced my albums alone, like a big girl, without the help of any human but with all the help of life! It has not been easy and sponsors and financial producers would be welcome! During my career, I was scammed in Cameroon for my very first album but that did not stop me from being where I am today and the best is yet to come.
On the other hand, where I scream for revolt, is this system in Cameroon that wants artists to pay to be played on radio and TV. It’s wrong! It should be the opposite! Fortunately, there are always people willing to support me on radio and TV, in Cameroon and elsewhere, without asking me the slightest penny. But this Cameroonian system where money speaks, kills creativity! But that too will change because the Cameroonians will choose what is beautiful over what is ugly, thus giving way to musical works of great creative minds, and pornographic music and noise will go into oblivion.
