The beauty of African women is increasingly highlighted in particular with Miss Universe like Leila Lopes, however black models in the fashion industry worldwide are under-represented many of them, we have met before complain to have reduced opportunities because of their shape. Do you think things are changing? Are the standards of beauty such as African curves are beginning to be accepted, or else it's simply a way to please people from time to time while the world of fashion and beauty remain very conservative?
For me the beauty of a woman physically is based on how she stands and how she behaves. I appreciate my curves and I love them as they are. I have no complex of this natural beauty that I find perfect.
I think the black woman is the most perfect woman in the world and it always puts me at ease. I'm not always used in castings. I personally always think that my beautiful curves did not hinder some designers, so if, I may not fit in the collection this time, it will be for the next season!
Today I find that many fashion houses hire many more black women in fashion shows, catalogs and magazines than10 years ago. Being Super Model requires a lot of patience and courage, we must confront some realities that a lot of people do not know.
