lViolence is everywhere in the youth’s environment, both in school and in the rest of society, such as the family or the neighborhood. Violence in young peoples is a phenomenon as old as school. In Western countries cases of characterized violence of young peoples were recorded, since the 17th century with the incident of the mardi gras in 1646, during which the pupils of the college of La flèche, in France; (famous Jesuit college, which saw on its benches scholars like René Descartes) had stormed their school heavily armed. This act of vandalism had forced teachers and school officials to use firearms to resist them and repel the assault. These young peoples were undoubtedly inspired by the stories of fortifications and military bravery that were legion at the time ... The buildings of the college of La flèche were later requisitioned by the Emperor Napoleon in 1808 to become the prytaneum of St Cyr, a military school which later became famous for the quality of its graduates.
The young person today has basically not changed because he remains intrinsically linked to the influence of his environment ...
The violence of youths today is worrying, because of the new tools available to teens, to either harm their peers, themselves, or the society in general. So, what is the reason for the youth’s violence?
To answer this question, it is important to first analyze the human being in his quintessence. We will thus speak of endogenous or biological factors, while in a second part it is important to emphasize, the impact of exogenous factors, namely the influence of the environment in which the young person lives. The latter, the time of this statement of facts, is no less decisive.
